Aiming to expand the horizons of young scientists in pursuit of a career as well as increasing their network, the Zurich Life Science Day brings together around 800 young scientists every year. In two parallel sessions with around 20 presentations, the participants gain an insight into careers in industry, academia, consulting, non-governmental positions, start-up companies and others. During breaks between sessions, companies sponsoring the event with a booth have the opportunity to meet the most talented young scientists in the country at the heart of the event; the company exhibition. Likewise, attendees looking to see what the various life science sectors have to offer can take the chance to speak with representatives from exciting young start ups, established international names and everything in between!
If you are a life science related company looking to gain visibility among the next generation of Scientists and leaders, we invite you to join the Zurich Life Science Day 2018:

Aiming to train life scientists in how to best seize job opportunities in a one week event, brings together twenty selected participants currently in their PhD or postdoc in life sciences and medicine. Our partners instruct the participants on how to assess appropriate jobs for their profile, the hidden labor market, how to write a CV or cover letter and prepare them for job interviews.
Career Chats are a speaker series that aim to invite life-scientists from a variety of disciplines and professions to introduce the company they work for and outline career possibilities within their company. These talks aim to provide a more informal and informative example of how a life scientist has developed their career path by providing a bit about their career-related steps and their current everyday life within their position. The informative presentation is opened to questions from the audience and is followed by an apero where audience members can more freely interact with the invited speaker(s) in a more relaxed atmosphere.
Visiting a working space often helps people to imagine how their future job could look like. In our Company Visits we empower our participants to learn more about their future possibilities within a firm as well as give them the opportunity to increase their professional network. Are you interested in showing your company to a group of Switzerland's top graduate students? Please do not hesitate to contact us, we are looking forward to hearing from you!
