Lorena earned her Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology Engineering from Tecnológico de Monterrey in Mexico. During her undergraduate studies, she completed a research internship at Harvard Medical School, where she contributed to projects focused on developing biomaterials for cancer immunotherapy. Driven by her passion for biomedical research, she is now pursuing a Master's degree in Molecular Health Sciences at ETH Zurich as an Excellence Scholar (ESOP). Recently, she completed a research project in Prof. Dr. Mark Tibbitt's laboratory, where she worked on optimizing a nanogel system for drug delivery. In her free time, Lorena enjoys traveling and dancing salsa and flamenco.
