Curriculum vitae

Bjoern grew up in southern Germany and received his diploma degree in Biotechnology from the University of Stuttgart in 2009. He spent his final year at the Institute of Biochemical Engineering working on sampling and cultivation techniques to analyse the metabolom of B.subtilis. In the same year he started his PhD in the lab of Prof. Christian Lehner at the University of Zurich. His research interest now focuses on new techniques to study the Drosophila wing disc development in vitro. In 2011, Bjoern joined the LSZYSN to organize the Zurich Life Science Day.
