Virginia obtained her master degree in Biomedical Sciences from the
University of Utrecht (The Netherlands) in 2014. Then, she worked for
one year in the lab of Prof. Dr. Johannes Schulte in Essen (Germany),
validating effective inhibitors for childhood neuroblastoma. In 2015, she
moved to the lab of Prof. Dr. Jean-Pierre-Bourquin, at the children`s
Hospital in Zurich, where she is currently doing her PhD investigating
biomarkers that predict relapse in childhood leukemia. In her free time,
Virginia loves to hike, climb and do water sports.
