After receiving her Master of Science from the Ludwig-Maximilians-University Munich, Verena left Germany to join the Life Science Graduate School Zurich for her PhD in Cancer Biology. Verena is working in the Laboratory of Applied Radiobiology of Prof. Martin Pruschy, where she is studying the complex heterogeneity of a tumour microenvironment and how ionizing irradiation modulates intracellular signaling cascades. In her leisure time she enjoys good food, traveling and outdoor sports.
