Martina completed her Bachelor and Master studies in Molecular Biology at the University of Zagreb in 2013. As an Erasmus exchange student at the University of Vienna, she did her Master thesis project in the laboratory of Prof. Dr. Gerhard Wiche within the division for Developmental Biology & Disease Mechanisms and Molecular Cell Biology at Max F. Perutz Laboratories. In June 2014 she started her PhD in the Cardioimmunology lab of Prof. Dr. Urs Eriksson within the Centre for Molecular Cardiology, University of Zurich, where she investigates the role of CD4 T cells in cardiac inflammation and fibrosis. In her free time she enjoys traveling and long walks with her dog.
