Kristina Thumfart

Kristina Thumfart, M.Sc.

Kristina obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Molecular Medicine at Innsbruck Medical University in 2015. She then continued her Master studies in the field of Biomedicine at Lund University, where she focused her thesis work on the role of miRNAs in neurodegenerative disorders. After finishing her Master studies in 2017, she got accepted to the Life Science Graduate School Zürich in 2018 and is currently pursuing her doctoral studies in the laboratory of Neuroepigenetics led by Prof. Isabelle Mansuy. There she works on understanding the mechanisms behind epigenetic inheritance of early life traumatic experiences. In her leisure time Kristina enjoys engaging in social activities and sports.
