Before coming to Zurich for her PhD, Joanna was a Research Assistant at the University of Chicago thanks to the student exchange program supervised by Fulbright Commission. She obtained her Master degree in Biotechnology at Wroclaw University of Science and Technology through the collaboration with Polish Academy of Sciences. Currently she’s working on her PhD project about microglia and phagocytosis in the zebrafish brain. Just recently she decided to join LSZYSN to be more active between students reaching for opportunities. When she is not in the lab, she enjoys travelling, cooking, watching movies and swimming.
