Curriculum vitae

Fabienne received her bachelor’s degree in Biology at the University of Zurich in 2016 where she then continued her master studies in the field of Cancer Biology. During her thesis she investigated the relevance of hypoxia for cancer treatment using ionizing irradiation including strategies to overcome low levels of oxygen in solid tumors. After finishing her master studies in 2018, she joined the Life Science Graduate School Zurich the same year. Driven by fascination for the field of Applied Radiobiology, she continued her research in this field as a PhD student in the Laboratory of Prof. Martin Pruschy. Her focus lies on irradiation-induced changes in (tumor-)vasculature in dependency of a specific metalloproteinase relevant for radiotherapy-resistance and increased tumor aggressiveness. In her leisure time, Fabienne is enjoying yacht sailing in summer and snowboarding in winter, reading thrillers, and pursuing handcrafting projects.
