Charlotte obtained her MSc in Bioengineering from Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) in 2016. During her Master’s studies, she specialized in the fields of Biomaterials and Regenerative Medicine, and further worked on the development of an epithelium model-on-a-chip for her Master’s project at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). After obtaining her Master’s degree, Charlotte did a six-months internship at swissnex Boston, the Swiss scientific consulate in Boston. In April 2017, she started her PhD studies in the laboratory of Applied Mechanobiology at ETH Zurich with Professor Viola Vogel. In her research project, she investigates a Fibronectin tensional probe as a possible diagnostic tool to detect pathological microenvironment in vivo.
