Martina Lüthi, Dr.

  • Active Member

Martina completed her Master’s degree in Biology at ETH Zurich in 2017, discovering a novel RNA virus in parasitoid wasps during her Master’s thesis. She then moved to the University of Bern for her PhD in Molecular Life Sciences, where she developed a CRISPR/Cas protocol for targeting speciation genes in Petunia. After completing her PhD, she enjoyed working on method development so much that she decided to move back to ETH Zurich where she is currently working as a postdoc developing CRISPR/Cas tools for biodiversity monitoring via eDNA. When not in the lab, Martina enjoys exploring the outdoors on her bike or working on her calligraphy skills.
