Diana obtained her bachelor degree in Biochemistry from the University of Porto in Portugal. Her curiosity about the human nervous system led her to enroll in a Master degree in Neurobiology, from the faculty of Medicine, still in Porto. During her thesis Diana worked on a pre-clinical trial using Pfn1 to promote regeneration of spinal cord injuries. After her master, she moved to Zürich Switzerland and in May 2021 joined the group of Sebastian Jessberger for her PhD. Diana is working on unravelling Neural stem cells behavior in mouse and human, with a special interest on mechanisms behind quiescence. Outside of the lab Diana enjoys reading, spending time in the mountains or by the sea and being with her friends.
