Blanca obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Biochemistry at Imperial College London in 2019. She then moved to Zürich to pursue a MSc in Molecular and Structural Biology. During her MSc thesis, she studies how SARS-CoV-2 shuts down translation in the host cell. In 2021, she started her PhD in the laboratory of Prof. Dr. Nenad Ban at ETH Zürich, where she works on understanding the mechanisms of ribosomal frameshifting in viruses. In her free time, Blanca enjoys dancing, sports and good coffee.
