Anja earned her Bachelor's degree in Health Sciences and Technology from ETH Zürich in 2021. She went on to complete her Master's degree in Biomedical Engineering at ETH Zürich in 2023. For her MSc thesis, she explored the interactions between platelets and coagulation factors, focusing on how these interactions influence platelet function. In 2023, Anja began her PhD in the Laboratory of Applied Mechanobiology under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Viola Vogel at ETH Zürich. Her research focuses on understanding the role of platelet mechanics in coagulation, particularly in the context of Hemophilia A. In her free time, Anja enjoys running, dancing, and analog photography.
