Vanessa Matos is a biomedical engineer passionate about translating health science research into clinical solutions. She completed her master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering jointly at the University of Minho (Portugal) and the University of Freiburg (Germany), where she developed a point-of-care device for real-time LAMP detection.  After more than two years at a med-tech startup in Switzerland—contributing to the development and clinical validation of a wearable glucose monitoring device—she began her PhD at ETH Zurich. Her current research focuses on developing a novel sweat-based age clock for resilience assessment within the SNSF–NSF AGE RESIST project.  In her free time, she enjoys sports, spending time outdoors, and being around good friends.
