Melissa obtained both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in molecular medicine from the University of Ulm, Germany. For her master’s thesis, she moved to Basel to conduct research at the Department of Biomedicine. In 2024, she began her PhD in the Department of Medical Oncology and Haematology at the University Hospital Zürich under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Steffen Böttcher. Her doctoral research focuses on the immune microenvironment of acute myeloid leukaemia. In her free time, she enjoys reading, cooking with friends, and going to the gym.
