Irma, originally from Salzburg, Austria, holds a Bachelor's degree in Molecular Biology. After her undergraduate studies, she worked as a research assistant in Neuro-Immunology at the University Hospital Salzburg for a year. She then completed a Master's degree in Immunology in Vienna. In 2022, Irma started her PhD at the Life Science Zurich Graduate School, where she currently works at the Department of Neurology, University Hospital Zurich. Her research focuses on identifying novel drug targets for glioblastoma through in vivo CRISPR screening. Outside of her academic work, Irma enjoys arts and crafts, hiking, engaging in sports, traveling, and spending time with friends and family.
