Alicia completed her Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Sciences, including a semester abroad in South Africa. She then pursued a Master’s degree in Cancer Research at the University of Heidelberg and the German Cancer Research Center. During her studies, she gained international experience through internships and thesis work in Vienna, Gothenburg, and Boston, exploring diverse cultures and research environments.
In 2022, Alicia began her PhD at the Life Science Zurich Graduate School. She is a shared PhD student at the Department of Neurology, University Hospital Zurich, and the Institute of Molecular Systems Biology at ETH. Her research focuses on spatially resolved functional profiling for glioblastoma.
Outside of academia, she enjoys spending time in the mountains, traveling, and engaging in arts and crafts.
