After successfully completing her PhD in neurobiology at the University of Bern, Anuja Neve joined the Children’s Research Centre at the Kinderspital Zürich as a postdoctoral scientist. Since November 2018, she has been working for Roche Diagnostics as a Clinical Scientist. During this Career Chat, Anuja Neve will talk about her current role at Roche and give us useful and interesting insights into the transition that she experienced whilst venturing from academia into the diagnostics industry.

 

Established in Basel in 1896, Roche has grown ever since to become the world’s leading pharmaceutical and diagnostic company. Over the years Roche has invested in bringing to the market therapies and diagnostic systems that revolutionized the medical field.

Anuja shared her experience from her PhD in neurobiology until the position of Clinical Scientist at Roche Diagnostics, revealing the skills that she gathered along the years that granted her the successful career she has today! The audience of PhD candidates and Master students were able to better understand which steps and competences are needed for a job as a Clinical Scientist.
