Sarah successfully completed her studies in Biology at the University of Cologne and focused her master thesis on basic research on the treatment of acute promyelocytic leukemia. During her studies she performed internships in different companies like the Beiersdorf Research Center in Hamburg or PerkinElmer chemagen Technologie GmbH. 

After her studies she moved to Zurich and joined the Cancer Biology Ph.D. program at the Life Science Zurich Graduate school. She is pursuing her doctoral studies in the group of Prof. Alessandro Sartori at the Institute of Molecular Cancer Research at the University of Zurich. In her PhD project Sarah investigates the regulation of key proteins involved in DNA double-strand break repair.

Outside of the lab Sarah enjoys cooking, meeting friends and playing tennis.
