Curriculum vitae

Magda completed her Bachelor studies in Molecular Biology at the University of California, San Diego in 2012. She continued her Masters studies in the lab of Dr. Nicholas Webster, in the Division of Endocrinology and Metabolism, at the School of Medicine at UCSD. In 2013, Magda started her PhD in the lab of Professor Pierre-Alain Clavien, in the Division of Visceral and Transplantation Surgery, at the University Hospital in Zurich. Her current research focuses on understanding the molecular mechanisms behind the accelerated liver regeneration underlying the novel surgical technique, Associating Liver Partition and Portal vein Ligation for Staged hepatectomy (ALPPS). Outside of the lab, Magda enjoys traveling, dancing, and a range of outdoor sports.
