Melanie Soballa

Melanie Soballa, M.Sc.

Melanie obtained her bachelor's and master's degree in chemistry at the University of Freiburg, Germany. She did her bachelor’s thesis in electrochemistry in the department of inorganic chemistry. During her master’s study, she pursuit a research internship at the Boston University, where she synthesized and tested small molecules as targeted drug conjugates. After completing her master's theses in structural biology at the institute of biochemistry, she joined the Life Science Zurich Graduate School as a Ph.D. student in the Laboratory of Prof. Dr. Michael Weller. Her Ph.D. research mainly focuses on CAR T cell therapies as potential treatment for glioblastoma. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, meeting friends, and all sorts of sports, such as volleyball, biking, and running.
