Marília received her Bachelor’s in Biochemistry and her Master’s degree in Neurobiology from the University of Porto, Portugal. During her master’s thesis she studied the effects of chronic opioids on the nervous system. Marília joined the group of Prof. Hanns Ulrich Zeilhofer for her PhD in March 2021 where she will study descending pain modulation mechanisms. During her free time, she enjoys travelling, reading, cooking and spending time with family and friends.
